The Gulf Information Security Expo and Conference (GISEC) has kicked off at the Dubai World Trade Centre today, bringing together global experts who'll help develop regional cybersecurity agendas.
The three-day event will be a key platform for international dialogue on increasingly sophisticated cyber crimes against governments, critical national infrastructure and sensitive corporate data.
It will be held under the theme, "Enabling Resilience in Digital Economies," and will feature over 180 international speakers.
"As cyber criminals become more sophisticated and bold, the vigilance of governments, businesses and citizens is more important than ever," said Col Saeed Al Hajri, director of the cyber crime department at Dubai Police.
He will team up with Craig Jones, cyber crime director of Interpol, to outline joint operations to identify threats.
