Dubai developer H&H has revealed details of the Water Gardens, a new mixed-use destination in the Dubai International Financial Centre (DIFC), with the first phase due to be completed in 18 months.
Speaking to Dubai Eye 103.8, H&H Chairman Shahab Lutfi said the development sits between Al Sukook Street and Al Mustaqbal Street, and will act as a gateway connecting the two parts of DIFC.
The project will include offices, homes, shops, restaurants and a five-star hotel with around 154 rooms, whose brand has not yet been revealed. It covers around 1.8 million square feet of gross floor area.
Its centrepiece is an 80-metre-wide plaza with fountains and trees, designed to create a garden in the heart of the financial district.
Construction is under way, and Lutfi said the whole project should be finished within 18 to 24 months, with tenants expected to move in within 18 to 20 months.
The development includes the Four Seasons Private Residences, which Lutfi said are 85 per cent sold, along with a furnished apartment building, Eden House, and a low-rise office building of around 220,000 square feet.
Apartments at the Four Seasons Private Residences start at 25 million for a two-bedroom home of around 4,000 square feet, rising to more than 200 million for a penthouse.
Lutfi said international buyers have shown strong interest, with new deals concluded in recent months.
The site will have access from both Sukuk Street and Al Mustaqbal Street, with three basement levels of parking. It will also connect to Gate Avenue.
