"I am back home in solitary quarantine," Bachchan later announced on his own social media channel, while thanking the hospital staff for their care.
It comes just days after Abhishek's wife, and actor, Aishwarya Rai, and daughter, Aaradhya, returned home after testing negative for the virus.
Meanwhile, Abhishek continues to be in the hospital.
The actor explained that it was because "some comorbidities remain COVID-19 positive".
I, Unfortunately due to some comorbidities remain Covid-19 positive and remain in hospital. Again, thank you all for your continued wishes and prayers for my family. Very humbled and indebted. ππ½
