Abu Dhabi Police has underlined its commitment to ensuring the emirate remains secure and safe for tourists. Lieutenant Colonel Muzeed Al Otaibi, Chief of the Tourism Police Section at the Criminal Investigation Department, says special patrols are operated at tourist sites and facilities to combat crime and reflect the image of the UAE as a safe and secure country. According to national news agency WAM, Lt. Col. Al Otaibi also says the patrols are familiar with languages including English, French, Chinese and Filipino, in order to be able to communicate with tourists and deal with them professionally. The Tourism Police Section has also released awareness-raising brochures and guidelines on the code of conduct that should be followed, benefitting an estimated 231,000 people.
