AED 1,000 fine for drivers overtaking from hard shoulder

Motorists caught overtaking from the hard shoulder will face stiff penalties.

In a video released on their official social media channels, the Abu Dhabi Police showed three violators, who avoid traffic blocks by using the emergency lane.

The authority reminded that violators will face AED 1,000 in fine, and six black points on their driving licence. 

The lane is reserved exclusively for emergency vehicles.
