A major fire that broke out in a 67-storey residential tower in Dubai Marina late on Friday night was fully contained by Dubai Civil Defence teams in the early hours of Saturday.
The incident prompted a swift and coordinated emergency response, resulting in the evacuation of all 3,820 residents from the building’s 764 flats with no injuries reported.
The blaze began late on Friday in the upper floors of Tiger Tower, also known as Marina Pinnacle, with flames eventually spreading across several levels of the skyscraper.
Dubai Civil Defence deployed specialised teams to the scene, working through the night to bring the fire under control.
According to the Dubai Media Office, emergency crews prioritised residents’ health and safety throughout the operation, carrying out a full evacuation as a precautionary measure.

Relevant authorities are now working in coordination with the building’s developer to provide temporary accommodation for those affected. Dubai Civil Defence confirmed that the fire was brought under control approximately six hours after it was first reported.
They also stated that the smoke still visible at the site is due to ongoing cooling operations. Firefighting teams remain on site with full control measures in place.
An investigation into the cause of the fire is expected to follow.
