Sheikh Abdullah bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Minister of Foreign Affairs, has praised the achievements of UAE astronauts and the Mohammed Bin Rashid Space Centre (MBRSC) in a meeting with Sultan Al Neyadi, Minister of State for Youth, Hazzaa Al Mansoori and the "Zayed Ambition 2" team.
Sheikh Abdullah noted that their efforts have significantly contributed to advancing scientific innovation and technological progress in the country.
He also highlighted that these achievements align with the UAE's vision for development and progress under the wise leadership of President His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan and His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai.
Sheikh Abdullah also praised the leadership of the MBRSC and the valuable experiences gained from the astronauts' missions to the International Space Station (ISS), emphasising the role of space exploration in inspiring future generations of scientists and researchers in the country.
In a symbolic gesture marking the Zayed Ambition 2 mission's success and the UAE's commitment to space exploration, the team presented Sheikh Abdullah with the Ministry of Foreign Affairs logo carried by Dr. Al Neyadi during his historic mission – the longest Arab space mission to the ISS.
Expressing his gratitude for Sheikh Abdullah's unwavering support, MBRSC Director-General Salem Al Marri stated the meeting "serves as inspiration for the team to further elevate their efforts and foster excellence and innovation in space science".
