No aircraft, registered in the UAE or abroad, using the PW4000 engines operate within the country's airspace, the UAE General Civil Aviation Authority (GCAA) confirmed on Wednesday.
"Currently, the UAE does not have any UAE registered aircraft operating with PW4000 engines. And, there are no foreign aircraft fitted with the mentioned engine operating to UAE airports and airspace," the authority said.
Several airlines have grounded Boeing 777s powered by PW4000 engines after United Airlines 777-200 aircraft made an emergency landing due to engine failure in Denver last Saturday.
The GCAA said it continued to work closely with the US Federal Aviation Administration and monitor any updates on the Boeing 777 aircraft.
"If there are any further developments and intervention is required it will be taken," it added.
