Rain and thunderclouds are forecast for the southern and eastern parts of the UAE until Sunday.
That is according to the National Centre of Meteorology (NCM), which said it could extend towards some internal areas and the Al Dhafrah region.
It's the result of the Intertropical Convergence Zone affecting the region, the weather bureau explained in a statement.
"It shifts the movement of surface and upper low pressure from South towards North, the flow of moist air from the Arabian Gulf and the Gulf of Oman, and the rise in temperatures during the day," the NCM statement added.
Winds are forecasted to be moderate, but gusts carrying dust and sand is expected to reduce visibility.
