His Highness Sheikh Abdullah bin Zayed Al Nahyan, UAE Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs, has held a phone call with Iran's Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi to discuss the latest regional developments.
The call came after the United States and Iran signed a memorandum of understanding.
Sheikh Abdullah stressed the importance of full compliance with the agreement to ensure an end to hostilities, uphold international law, respect the sovereignty of states and ensure the freedom of international navigation, including through the Strait of Hormuz.
He also said diplomacy and constructive dialogue remain the best way to resolve regional and international crises, expressing hope that ongoing negotiations will lead to lasting security and stability across the region.
