President His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan made a phone call to His Excellency Recep Tayyip Erdogan, President of the Republic of Türkiye, during which he expressed his sincere condolences and sympathy for the victims of the terrorist attack targeting the Turkish Aerospace Industries company in Ankara.
His Highness also wished a speedy recovery to the injured and extended his heartfelt condolences to the families of the victims.
During the call, His Highness reaffirmed the UAE’s solidarity with Türkiye and its rejection of all forms of violence and terrorism that seek to destabilise security and peace and are in clear violation of international law.
In response, President Erdogan thanked His Highness for his sincere sentiments towards Türkiye and its people. He also highlighted the close ties between the two countries and their peoples.
An armed attack in Ankara on Wednesday killed five people and injured more than 20 others.
