His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, President of the UAE, received a telephone call on Monday from His Excellency Pham Minh Chinh, Prime Minister of the Socialist Republic of Vietnam.
They discussed the serious developments in the region and their repercussions on regional and international peace and security.
During the call, the Vietnamese Prime Minister expressed his condemnation of the Iranian attacks targeting the territory of the United Arab Emirates and a number of sister countries in the region, which constitute a violation of sovereignty, international law and the Charter of the United Nations, and a threat to stability and security in the region.
He affirmed his solidarity with the UAE in what it is doing to defend its sovereignty, security and the safety of its people.
For his part, His Highness Sheikh Mohammed thanked His Excellency Pham Minh Chinh for Vietnam’s supportive stance towards the UAE.
During the call, both sides stressed the need to resort to dialogue and diplomatic solutions to avoid further crises in the region and to preserve regional and global peace and security.
