The youngest Emirati stranded abroad due to the coronavirus pandemic has returned home.
Two-month-old Zeina Al Amiri was born in April in Kuwait, where her mother and brother lived, while her father, Dr. Abdulla Al Amiri, was helping fight the virus in the UAE after undergoing training in the US.
The UAE Embassy in Kuwait issued Zeina an emergency passport so that she and her family could return home even though flights to the GCC nation were suspended.
The Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation (MOFAIC) said it continues its efforts to repatriate Emirati citizens currently stranded abroad. An application can be submitted online via the MOFAIC website or the UAEMOFAIC smart app.
