Kvitová storms past Kužmová as Pliskova shocked by Su-wei

Petra Kvitová is into the semi-finals of the Dubai Duty Free Tennis Championships after a thumping victory over Viktória Kužmová.

The two-time Grand Slam champion won the first set of their quart-final clash 6-4 before claiming the second to love.

She's joined in the last four by Hsieh Su-wei, who beat the number four seed Karolina Pliskova in three sets.

The 33-year-old Tawainese star won 6-4, 1-6, 7-5 for a second consecutive giant-killing following her win over Wimbledon champion Angelique Kerber in the last-16.
