Liverpool edges closer to Capital One glory

Liverpool substitute Jordan Ibe’s goal against Stoke City has given the club an advantage going into the second leg of the Capital One Cup semi-final. Ibe, on for Coutinho, struck at the far post in the 37th minute at the Britannia Stadium and Stoke failed to respond, leaving the score 1-0 to Liverpool. The second leg takes place at Anfield on Tuesday, January 26, with the winner facing either Everton or Manchester City in the final.
