Molinari wins Arnold Palmer Invitational

Reigning Race to Dubai champion Francesco Molinari has won the Arnold Palmer Invitational.

The Italian fired a final round 64 to finish two shots ahead of 2016 DP World Tour Championship winner Matthew Fitzpatrick.

The win is Molinari's third on the PGA Tour.

Meanwhile, two-time Omega Dubai Desert Classic winner Rory McIlroy, who started the final round a shot off the lead, finished in a tie for sixth.
