Paul Pogba's visit to Saudi Arabia fuels transfer talk

France and Juventus midfielder Paul Pogba spent the weekend in Saudi Arabia, intensifying rumours of a potential transfer to Saudi Pro League club Al-Ittihad.

According to media reports, he visited the facilities of the club, which has already secured signings of Karim Benzema and N'Golo Kanté this summer.

Pogba is expected to return to Turin on Monday as Juventus commences their pre-season retreat. The midfielder had resumed training early to complete his recovery from a thigh injury. Reports suggest that an intermediary held discussions with his agent, Rafaela Pimenta, a few weeks ago to gauge the possibilities of a transfer. Pimenta herself recently visited the headquarters at Continassa, adding to the speculation surrounding Pogba's potential move.

According to TuttoSport, Al-Ittihad has offered Pogba a lucrative three-year contract worth €100 million, including add-ons. During his visit, he engaged with club officials and playfully interacted with fans, further fueling anticipation of his transfer. Juventus is reportedly willing to let Pogba leave if he expresses the desire to do so. He is currently set to earn €8 million annually over the next three years. However, his return to Juventus last season was marred by physical setbacks, resulting in a disappointing performance.

Sky sources indicate that Pogba's trip to Saudi Arabia was of a personal nature and not directly related to the transfer market. Should Pogba depart, it would hasten Juventus' prolonged pursuit of Sergej Milinkovic-Savic.
