Sharjah maintained their leading position at the top of the ADNOC Pro League as they beat Khorfakkan 3-0 at Sharjah Stadium on Saturday.

It just took 16 minutes for Sharjah to take an early lead before adding the second minutes after the half time break.

Just before the hour mark, Luan Pereira sealed the victory when he made a brilliant move from midfield before setting up new signing Miralem Pjanic, who calmly drilled the ball into the back of the net.

Pjanic who arrived from Barcelona in the summer recently signed a two-year contract with the club.

The result means that Sharjah are now in first place with 12 points, while Khorfakkan remain in 13th place with just one point.
