Wendie Renard loses FIFA trophy on a train

FRANCK FIFE / AFP

French defender Wendie Renard has launched an online appeal after she lost her Fifa trophy on a train.

The 29-year-old had misplaced a suitcase containing two of her trophies on the Paris-Lyon service on Thursday.

While the staff from train operator SNCF were able to recover her bag, they found only one trophy inside.

The trophy she received for being named in Fifa's team of the year is still missing.
